Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade is often considered the most impressive "mile" on the beach. Featuring 1.2 miles of oceanfront views and entertainment, there is plenty to do as you stroll along, enjoying the salty sea breeze air. Plenty of other tourists and local are found milling around along the boardwalk just taking a relaxing walk or soaking in the sights.
During the day, you can see plenty of beachgoers laying out for a tan or enjoying the waves. When the night falls, all of the entertainment reaches its peak. There is plenty for everyone to enjoy, including several delicious places to stop for a bite to eat.
Stretching from Second Avenue Pier to 14th Avenue Pier, the boardwalk varies in both width and shape. There is plenty of landscaping to add to the beauty of the scenic setting as you walk along from one end to the other. The first section of the boardwalk promotes relaxation and serenity for a leisurely-paced stroll. Once you hit the second section of the boardwalk, intensity breaks loose.
There is plenty of action in this section, including a carnival with a nostalgic atmosphere. The third and last section of the boardwalk allows viewers to slow back down and relax after a day of sightseeing and fun.
